The Tomb of the "14th Earl" (KN63) is in the Derby Chapel of St. Mary's Church, Knowsley. It is made of alabaster and shows the recumbent figure of the 14th Earl. The effigy cost about £3,000.
The inscription on the tomb reads: 'This monument is erected in memory of Edward Geoffrey fourteenth Earl of Derby died October 23rd 1869 by his tenants as a mark of affection and respect born March 29th 1799'. The tomb is also marked with the name of M. Noble Sc. 1871, who was presumably the sculpter who carved the effigy.
