Lytham House, North Park Road, Kirkby c. 1905. It was built in the late 1860's by Christopher Wade, a Liverpool estate agent, as a retirement home. By 1890 he had sub-let half of it to Dr. Joseph Walker. Later occupiers were Robert Heaton in 1901 and Robert Burns in 1909. In 1913 it was owned by Dr. Richard Ainsworth, whose sister, Katie, succeeded him, until 1987. It was named after Wade's birthplace.
